Create a letterbox on the secure jmd4you server. For this purpose, click on the button “Register”.
The username and password each need to have at least 6 characters. You can use letters, numerals and special characters. We recommend you create a username with at least 8 characters.
Be sure to note the upper case and lower case letters.
In order to verify the use, we also need your e-mail address.
Tip: Make a note of the user name and password BEFORE entering them, and keep the note in a safe place.
You will only be able to return at a later date to your personal account to read the answer(s) provided by your advisor, and continue the contact with further messages, if you use EXACTLY the same spelling each time.

Each and everyone with a question, a problem, a difficult situation or an idea is welcome. We answer, inform, advise and help with decision-making.
Anonymity and confidentiality
Each and everyone remains anonymous. All advisors at jmd4you are subject to a duty of confidentiality. For protection purposes, e-mail and chat advice is encrypted to a particularly secure standard, so that no one can view the contacts from outside.
Free of charge
Users do not incur any costs, except the cost of their own internet connection charged by their provider.

We require your e-mail address to be able to contact you when a new message is received, a chat appointment is available or if you have forgotten your username or password. If this happens, you will be able to reset your password. You will be sent the corresponding link by e-mail.

You can reset your password. For this purpose we only need the e-mail address you used for registration. You will receive an automatic reply containing your username and a link to reset your password.
6. How does chatting work? Click to expand/collapse
Chatting is nothing other than a WhatsApp message or a text message. You simply enter your text in the text input field. You can also use emojis (that is to say, little icons such as smilieys). If you want to send your message, click “Return / Enter” or the button “Send”. The text will then appear in the chat window.

If the chat is busy despite a booked slot, there may be a variety of reasons for this. Please pay attention to the corresponding notes of your contact person below the appointment button. Please try to avoid waiting times. Important notice: If you are more than 5 minutes late, your booked slot will be released so that another person can use the appointment. You will then find a corresponding message below the appointment button.

Booked slots sometimes become available spontaneously. The booked slot then appears at the top of the list of upcoming appointments (see question 5. “How can I book a chat appointment?”) You can then immediately enter the chat and start the conversation. You need to be logged in for this process.

If you cannot attend a booked appointment, please cancel it. This means the time can be used for other people seeking advice. To do this, log in on the start page with your username and password (LINK: REGISTRATION) and click on the button "Cancel appointment" behind your appointment in the appointment list. Then log out.

After logging in you can switch from the “Chat” tab to “e-mail advice”. There you can write a mail that is assigned to an e-mail advisor. This person will then contact you within 48 hours (72 hours on weekends).

Some advisors at Youth Migration Services (Jugendmigrationsdienste) offer personal advice by e-mail.
You can find and write to these advisors through the website www.jugendmigrationsdienste.de. e-mails are sent using the website jmd4you.de. You will receive your answer as a registered user of the online advice service.
13. How do I find out if someone has answered me? Click to expand/collapse
With the e-mail function you can activate an automatic reply that will let you know if an answer has been received. This option is available in your private area after login.
If you want to activate an e-mail message about the provided answer, please enter your e-mail address in the MESSAGE field.
Important notice: You will not receive the answer by e-mail, but only a note with the following text: “Please check your personal inbox”

As a rule, you will receive an answer within 48 hours (72 hours on weekends). As you always write to the same person, this person may go on holiday or be unable to meet the deadline for other reasons. You will, however, be informed about this in advance.
